Dollar General needed to scan my ID to let me purchase PG-13 movies. Bit ridiculous, but they were also only $5 each.

EDIT: I reached out to Dollar General's online customer support: The reason DG needs ID for PG-13 movies is because their system isn't equipped to require ID based on the UPC or title, so Dollar General checks ID for all movies regardless of rating.

The following is an assumption because I haven't asked for clarification, but I believe that means adults still get carded even for movies rated G, and kids can't buy movies at all because all movies are treated as adults only. All in the name of preventing kids from buying R-rated movies. Isn't that just swell?
