I Became What Hurt Me

Hurt people hurt people.

Not accidentally.

Not intentionally.

They hurt people the way they were hurt

with words that sting longer than bruises,

with silence that feels like abandonment,

with love that comes with conditions.

They know exactly where it breaks,

because that's where they broke.

They push.

They test.

They sabotage.

They destroy.

Then they say,

"This is just how I am."

But it's not who they are.

It's what was done to them.

And the cycle continues

until someone bleeds enough

to become

the next hurt person.

If this felt familiar, I hope you find the strength to heal instead of passing your pain to someone else ♡
