Seahawks Customized Elite SB LX Jersey
I've been working on getting this Seahawks Nike Elite jersey customized to look like the one the players wore during Superbowl LX. Thought I'd share some results and lessons learned 😁 Started right after Superbowl ended.
Hardest part was getting the correct patches as they seemingly keep improving over time, tempting me to upgrade. And a lesson I learned was to not buy the Nike Elite jersey pre-customized as their stitching is sub-par, either get a blank or have Pro Shop in Seattle do it.
Favorite features:
- Patches look close to Superbowl LX patches worn on-field (SB LX is correct color, Seahawks 50th is plastic/chrome and USA 250th has correct spacing).
- Player numbers re-stitched by STT Sports Lettering in Seattle - are now kiss-cut. (Fnatics actually glued them onto the Jersey, as such STT recommended I have the new numbers stitched on top). Due to it being 2-layered, it does feel thicker and more premium.
- Patches also stitched by STT
Imperfections:
- Player name is still a Fnatics stitch job, not perfect, but tolerable.
- Seahawks 50th Patch is an early 1st batch unit from a fellow redditor, their newer creation is slightly better/more accurate
- SB LX patch is not smooth like the on-field version (has grooves/outlines).
If I were to do another jersey like this after a future superbowl, I'd wait longer for the 3rd party market to catch up, but overall I am very satisfied with the result. Opinions? 😁
