What’s the best way to connect Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube APIs to one workflow?

I'm building a workflow that needs to publish and manage content across multiple social platforms, and I'm trying to figure out the cleanest way to handle the API integrations.

The platforms I'm looking at are:

\- Instagram

\- Facebook

\- TikTok

\- YouTube

The workflow would roughly be:

Content created

→ prepare platform-specific versions

→ publish to each platform

→ collect the post/video IDs

→ track publishing status

→ handle failures/retries

→ collect basic metrics later

I'm especially unsure about the best architecture for authentication and API connections.

For example:

  1. Should I use OAuth separately for each platform?

  2. Is it better to build separate API modules/nodes for each platform, or use a unified abstraction?

  3. How do you safely store and refresh access tokens?

  4. How do you handle different API limitations and publishing requirements between platforms?

  5. If publishing succeeds on 3 platforms but fails on the 4th, what's the cleanest way to handle retries without duplicating posts?

  6. Are there any good open-source projects or examples that implement this kind of multi-platform workflow?

I'm mainly interested in real-world setups, especially with n8n or similar workflow automation tools.

What architecture have you found works best?

What if agent observability started with the expected outcome, not the trace?

I've been digging into silent failures in production workflows, and I keep noticing the same gap:

"The run succeeded" and "the task succeeded" are not the same signal.

A trace can tell me:

the model responded

tool calls returned successfully

latency was normal

the final output was valid JSON

But none of those necessarily tells me whether the actual task happened.

For example:

New order received → agent runs

→ API returns 200

→ JSON is valid

→ workflow is green

→ invoice never gets created

I'm thinking about an outcome-first model where each workflow/agent has an explicit expected outcome, for example:

Order received → invoice exists within 15 min

Lead received → CRM record exists

Document processed → required fields populated

Then observability becomes:

Expected → Actual → Evidence → Alert

rather than just:

Run → Trace → Error

I'm curious how people here think about this.

Do you define expected business outcomes explicitly today, or are you mostly inferring health from traces, evaluations, and model/tool metrics?

And when an agent says it completed something but the external side effect didn't happen, where does that verification currently live?
