[Bannerlord] Started a campaign on "Warrior" difficulty, but I just looked in the game options and damage received is set to Very Easy (- %50)

I tried Googling this issue and only found one thread that was like 4 years old, and it didn't have a solution. Is this still an ongoing known issue? Has my whole campaign been bumped down to Freebooter without my knowledge? That's a huge bummer. Is there a way to prevent this if I start another save? Just never click on gameplay options? lol

I think I messed something up with either my router or adapter settings when trying to configure my Steam Deck streaming settings

So I have a pretty decent internet package from Xfinity, and despite only using the crappy provided router/modem combo (XB7 I think, the off-white obelisk looking thing) and the fact my PC is like a room and a half away, it's a small-ish apartment, and I usually get anywhere from 200 - 500 mb/s when downloading games on Steam. The wireless adapter is some low-mid tier PCI-E card from ASUS I bought that has an external dog-ear antenna with a base wired from the back of the card - not sure the exact model but if it's relevant I can dig deeper to find it.

I think I opened a can of worms when I was tinkering with my network settings trying to get my Steam Deck streaming (using Moonlight/Apollo on Deck/PC respectively) to work better, since I kept getting a "Slow connection, reduce bitrate" warning and heavy stuttering, despite the fact it would work well for short periods.

I did some Googling and found some suggestions involving setting on the Deck itself, basic stuff like manually inputting the BSSID, I don't think this affected anything. But I also did poke around in the admin tools for the router, despite not really understanding what I was doing lol (I know, I know), so unfortunately I can't 100 percent remember exactly what I changed. But I know I changed the 2.4GHz channel option from 20/40 to 20, and the 5GHz channel option from 2/40/80 to 20/40, and some other settings possibly on that page, which I thought I changed back, but I'm not sure.

On the adapter side on my (Windows 11) PC I poked around in device manager, in the properties>advanced settings section of the adapter, and toggled/untoggled/changed dropdown menus in a list that included things like "Ignore Fat Channel," and had options for selecting "ac" vs "ax," "b/n/g" vs "b/n/g/ac," "Prefer 5GHz," etc. (may not be exact wording, I can't remember). I also checked/unchecked some boxes in a list that included selections involving IPv4, IPv6, Microsoft Topology Link Layer yadda-yadda, etc.

Ever since I futzed with things, my download speeds are stuck at 30 - 50 mb/s, which is definitely unusual.

Things I've tried: Uninstalling and reinstalling the adapter in device manager, checking for driver updates, trying to remember what settings I changed and revert them back probably unsuccessfully, resetting the WiFi settings on the router (not a complete factory reset yet because that'll be a pain in the ass, but I'll do it if I absolutely have to). So far nothing has helped.

Sorry for the wall of text, but let me know if you need any other info, I'll see what I can do. And thank you fine folks for any guidance you can provide to a total noob who got too confident in what little networking knowledge he has lol. Happy 4th to those in the states!

Total noob question, but what exactly should I be doing?

I seem to be maxed out at 20 troops in my party early game, and I’ve pretty much been slowly working on the initial clan/renown quest by trading commodities in different towns and rounding up looters as I come across them. And occasionally when I see an exclamation mark I’ll do a random caravan or delivery quest if I’m able to. And so far no settlement bigger than a village wants to talk to me lol so I haven’t found any leads about Neretzes Folly.

I assume the game opens up after I finish the initial renown quest, but it just feels kinda slow going fighting endless easy battles against looters and selling scrap equipment. I’m wondering if there’s something in particular I should be focusing on. I’m also kind of kicking myself for investing in “Leadership” instead of Steward because I thought it would let me have a bigger army size… whoops lol. Is it worth starting over to re-do my stats? Or where can I find a party member with high steward to get more troops?

Just curious what people lean toward for the best results, what I’ve usually been doing is lowering the resolution to 1280x800 since I figure the Deck doesn’t display more than that, then I can usually crank all other settings up to Ultra because of the performance boost gained from the lower resolution. In these cases I’ll either leave DLSS off or set it to Native AA. This works well for most games, but it’s kind of annoying when I go back and play on PC and have to readjust everything lol.

But for some games this causes issues, I’m not sure why. Like for KCD2 it makes all the fonts and inventory menu super blurry. And Crimson Desert gets a lot of weird artifacts, although that game gets ghosting for me no matter what, even on PC unless I set the lighting and raytracing settings to Max and just accept I’m gonna have to live with ~40fps haha.

Recently I’ve been playing around with leaving the resolution at 1440p and seeing what level of DLSS still looks pretty good, and in some games like RDR2 it actually does seem to look better, but I’m not really sure why, because l would assume anything higher than 800p would be wasteful, but maybe I’m wrong about that?

Anyway, what do y’all usually like to set everything at for best results on Deck?
