ASCP MLS exam tomorrow morning, LabCE scores, crippling anxiety, and other things
I pushed up the date of my ASCP MLS exam because I couldn't handle the anxiety anymore. I was scheduled for October 12th, and now I'm taking it tomorrow at 11AM local time. I don't think I'm going to pass with these difficulty scores and percentages but I'm trying to stay positive. There's always a chance I get dealt the right set of questions for my knowledge.
I mainly came here to talk about my LabCE scores and my anxiety. I wanted to see if anyone else was scoring where I was before they took their ASCP MLS with regard to both percentage and difficulty scores.
I also wanted to check in and see if anyone else dealt with really severe anxiety in the weeks leading up to their exam. It's been almost two years since I've graduated my BA in MLS. I shot myself in the foot for not taking the exam sooner, but I dealt with a lot of mental health issues in the months following graduation, which then turned into a year plus. I'm 34, about to be 35 at the end of October, and I have a ton of guilt for wasting time the way I did. My anxiety has been incredibly overwhelming, paralyzing even, and I think it's interloped with my depression because I can't seem to do anything in my daily life right now (other than study a bit). There's a huge cloud of doubt surrounding me and it's sprinkled with imposter syndrome.
Words of encouragement are appreciated. I'm feeling sorely defeated and I haven't even sat for the exam yet.
