Built an AI content engine tailored for Gulf Arabic dialects (Hejazi/Najdi) and regional platforms. Looking for feedback from Saudi builders! 🇸🇦
Hey everyone,
Like many of us here, I’ve been experimenting with LLMs for marketing copy, but I noticed a huge, frustrating gap when it comes to the Saudi/GCC market.
If you try to generate social media captions using standard models (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) for a local business in Riyadh or Jeddah, the output is almost always a stiff, textbook Modern Standard Arabic (MSA). It completely misses the warmth, slang, and cultural nuances of the local dialect (like the casual vibe of “تظبيط الرأس” or “السوالف”). On top of that, global tools completely ignore platforms that are massive here, like Snapchat Stories and WhatsApp Status.
To solve this for local businesses and agencies, I built Naqsh(نقش).
It’s a hyper-localized AI content engine designed specifically for Gulf businesses. Instead of writing complex prompt engineering, users just pick their brand, platform, and occasion to get ready-to-post, bilingual content infused with authentic local dialects in seconds.
What I engineered into Naqsh:
- True Local Nuance: Fine-tuned context to generate copy that actually sounds like a local Saudi marketer, not an AI.
- Gulf-First Channels: Built-in support for Instagram, TikTok, X, Snapchat Stories, and WhatsApp Status.
- Cultural Calendar Integration: One-click campaigns for events like Eid Al-Adha, National Days, and local seasons.
- Batch Generation: Generates a whole week's worth of content (7 multi-platform structured posts) in one click to save operational overhead.
I’m currently running a 7-day free trial (no credit card required) to gather real-world user feedback and stress-test the system.
I’d love to get your thoughts as builders, marketers, and tech enthusiasts in Saudi:
- What do you think about the UI/UX workflow?
- If you handle marketing or client copy in the region, what’s the biggest missing piece in current LLMs for you?
Check it out here: Naqsh
Would appreciate any brutal feedback or suggestions on how to improve the generation quality further! Thanks!
Anyone else struggling with local-language social media content?
I’ve noticed something interesting with small businesses in Gulf countries lately.
Most restaurant/café/salon pages post content that clearly feels translated or copied from generic AI tools 😅
The Arabic sounds too formal.
The English sounds too “marketing agency”.
And none of it feels local.
I was helping a friend with a café page recently, and honestly writing captions in a natural Gulf style took longer than designing the actual post.
Especially for:
- Eid campaigns
- café promotions
- Snapchat story text
- Instagram captions
- WhatsApp statuses
So now I’m curious:
If you run a business page (or manage one), what’s the most annoying part about creating social media content consistently?
Most AI content tools sound... foreign.
I kept noticing the same thing with small businesses here in the Gulf:
Most AI content tools sound... foreign.
A café in Jeddah or a salon in Dubai doesn’t want generic “engaging social media copy.” They want captions that actually sound local, work in Gulf Arabic, and fit Instagram/Snap/TikTok culture here.
So I started building a small tool called Naqsh.
You type:
- your business
- the promotion/topic
- the platform
and it generates ready-to-post captions in both English + Gulf Arabic.
Things it handles:
- Eid campaigns
- café promos
- restaurant offers
- salon content
- WhatsApp statuses
- Snapchat story text
- etc.
Honestly started this because I saw small businesses paying agencies hundreds just for basic captions.
Curious:
What’s the hardest part about creating social content for local businesses right now?
