It's Christmas for Ian!

Can we appreciate Eunsan for actually being mature and never letting stupid fights fester? He just communicates and resolves small things instead of dragging them out forever like most BLs do.

His communication skills are pissing me off!

I get that he doesn't want to be a burden on Taejun since he's confident that Taejun could never fall for him. But damn! You're just a college kid. It takes two to tango, let him help you! You can still say you don't want to get married for the sake of a kid.

My little Potato Niece is here!

Ahhh, I’ll miss them forever. My time with Haebom was cut sooo short! Stay blessed, baby girl, and the entire family. May Author-nim gives us a story about the fox and Na-in, with visuals of this family sprinkled throughout so we’re kept in the loop!

Can We Stop Treating Tears or words as a Complete Redemption?

Am I the only one who doesn’t melt just because the top cries or starts groveling?
Maybe this is a hot take, but words alone rarely feel like enough after sustained emotional cruelty. And I’m not talking about humiliation as a kink. That’s a completely different dynamic between consenting people.
I’m talking about stories where the top spent chapters breaking the bottom’s pride, dismissing their feelings, or treating them as disposable. If you didn’t use your “big boy words” before and had no problem humiliating them, why should a tearful apology suddenly wipe the slate clean?

Call me petty, but groveling with words and getting verbally lashed are on a completely different level from physical humiliation. If the harm crossed into physically degrading someone, how do you balance the scales without addressing that too? Not because I want revenge, but because I want the apology to acknowledge the full extent of the hurt.

That’s why I loved how 'Beyond the Memories' and 'Beware the Ides of March' handled it. The point wasn’t vindictiveness. It was balance. The top had to experience even a fraction of the vulnerability and loss of dignity he’d forced onto someone else. Only then did the apology actually feel earned.
I’m not sure if 'Flip the Script' has finished its grovel arc yet, but I hope the unnecessary cruelty gets dealt with in a similarly meaningful way instead of everyone moving on because the top finally grovelled a bit.

I also don’t get why writers do this. Why does the top get to keep his human dignity by resolving everything through tears, apologies, and heartfelt conversations, while the bottom had theirs stripped away? If the hurt involved physical degradation, why is the redemption almost always verbal? I’m not asking for revenge, just a redemption that feels proportional to the hurt.
