re:src002: how to make your own guestbook (no iframes, no fees, no supporter)

hey yall!

heres a new tutorial on the most voted request submitted by user "ff꧂" on how to make your own guestbook. this tutorial uses a trick to get around the content security policy neocities puts in place on free accounts so you dont need supporter or an iframe to make this work it just runs in your site and you can style it however you want! totally free.

the full guide and code is here: https://resrc.neocities.org/posts/make-your-own-guestbook

you can also try out this guestbook built following this tutorial on a brand new free account to prove it works: https://resrc-tests.neocities.org/guestbook

if you run into any issues feel free to drop a comment

hey yall - im starting a web tutorial series where users submit + vote on the topics. what have you always wanted to build/design but never knew how?

hey yall. full stack dev by day but lately ive been wanting to get back into little side projects just for the fun of it in my freetime.

i made a site where ill be writing up neocities (and i guess general) web dev tutorials/hacks/secrets/all that juicy stuff. the part i think is actually fun: you tell me what you wanna know how to do. programming/design/some cursed css thing/whatever. you drop it and people vote. ill write about whatever is on the top or seems interesting.

im not gonna pretend like i always have the best answer but ill genuinely try to make something useful. first write up is already up (how to control your neocities thumbnail) that i wrote a little while back and people found helpful.

you can submit a request on the right or vote on the left. no account required of course

Opus 4.6 / 4.7 substantial degradation as of yesterday

noticed some bizarre behavior and incredibly poor performance yesterday - sure enough marginlabs shows 11% regression.

tired of this whole leaving everyone in the dark and sneakily turning down model abilities. personally - id prefer waiting in a queue for a high quality output than getting an immediate low quality output that is guaranteed to waste more time and cause more issues.
