Trinità dei Monti and the Spanish Steps
It's been about four days since I watched When Marnie Was There. The emotional impact has been more powerful than any other Ghibli movie I watched, and I still wake up every day with pain from the movie reverberating in my head.
Never really thought much to watch the movie initially, but oh my, did that make the movie a true ambush to my senses. Imagine a 27M bawling my eyes out at the story of young ladies learning to deal with loneliness.
But I suppose it does hit a little close to home, as I used to be overwhelmed by loneliness and insecurity (once in a while I still am). Not to mention Marnie's story which really built the reservoir of tears before the end reveal which opened the floodgates.
If anyone hasn't seen this yet, I'd cautiously recommend it. It's a great movie, but so incredible you risk being stuck in a whole whirlwind of emotions at the end and beyond.
Hi! I'm travelling to Florence from 30 Sep - 4 Oct with my parents, and I'm intending to take a day (probably 2 Oct or 3 Oct) to rent a car and do a one-day road trip through Tuscany.
Does anyone have recommendations on where's the best place to rent a car in Central Florence? Preferably near the train station.
I tried looking online but it seems like most locations are near the airport, which is less accessible.
Thank you, any advice is appreciated!
