I find the difference between each steps of the volume to be too large to find a comfortable listening volume, so I rely on the EQ to fine tune the volume. But it seems like it’s reducing the soundstage/depth and muddies the bass a little.

At first, I thought the volume change was just messing with me. But I can definitely tell the difference even after setting the EQ to match the normal volume.

Why is this happening? Is there a way to reduce the volume without using the EQ? Or is there a specific way to EQ to match the non-EQed Echo?
