the percussion kit has massively expanded from last tour (maybe because will is the permanent percussionist now)
drum kit looks like it has also expanded slightly (there’s two bongos in the middle and new sample pads)
they move around a lot more now (there’s like two extra keyboards on the side of the stage) - idk if anyone noticed but Lucy is now on the keys for some songs (probably to avoid using less playback for songs which im fully on board on)
and also lydia is in the middle for some songs (which is nice to see)

personally im super satisfied with the songs they played. less songs from sunshine than i thought (not complaining) im so surprised carry on didn’t get played. maybe it was a change of mind from the band and it wouldn’t work too well in a live setting (maybe). im surprised holding on didn’t get played as well. i thought that was one of the fan favourites (especially from volcano) but not every song can be played unfortunately 😭.

im surprised to see smile on the setlist. im more surprised to see it as the first song as they did in the for ever. seems like a weak opener imo. keep moving or busy earnin would be way better. maybe they saved them up for the encore (makes sense). if they can fit smile into the setlist idk why they can’t fit happy man or cherry in there (both better songs). but obviously im not in the band so I don’t choose the songs. at least we got an extra song from forever in addition to california, 54, and casio. i said under a post that i had a feeling that they would play platoon. at least they played an extra song from the self-titled. and what a song that is. (AT LEAST I PREDICTED AN UNEXPECTED SONG BEING PLAYED). first time being played since fucking 2019 😭😭. drops is such a beautiful song. it lets tom shine a bit as well. j lloyd has casio, lydia has basically every song on the last two albums, and now seeing drops on the setlist is just perfect. the ordering will have to get used to if im being honest. candle flame and dominoes in the middle of the show seems weird 😭. maybe they wanted to play the new ones first (don’t blame them). overall it’s a VERY good setlist (without forcing too much of the newer stuff).

i swear to god i did not say anything, do anything to like critique her or ANYTHING. idek how ts happened. i even checked my comment history to see if i said anything stupid but i didnt 😭✌️ all i have done is liked some comments talking about how the sound has changed and im blocked. lwk crazy, but understandable. “fans” have probably gone ballistic on her and most likely message her very cruel things. so maybe she’s blocking all the “hate”. i don’t even dislike lydia that’s the thing 😭. she’s super talented, but as others are saying. it needs to be a mix, even another innovative, risk taking album like volcano is good. sunshine is good and just good, no wow factor like the other albums
