Aer City Pack 2 duplicates Goruck Bullet 15?
Hello
Context is that I own a Freitag Hazzard F306 which I’ve fallen out of love with and strongly inclined to sell in the near future. Reason I got this in the first place was that I was using a Dell XPS 15 laptop at the time and needed something slightly larger that could fit it on my commute between home and office. Circumstances have changed and the bag now feels too large for office use and excess to requirements.
Since then, I picked up the Goruck Bullet 15 as my weekend / dad bag and I adore it.
The Aer City Pack 2 (16L) has always been on my radar and I see this as a good opportunity to swap it in if the Freitag goes, but with more reflection it feels like duplicative of the Bullet in both size, aesthetic, and function.
For what it’s worth, my work environment is now a little more formal than before and for most days I carry a Mismo nylon briefcase to work and try it keep it as light as possible (and leave my laptop at work if not required). So before someone points it out, I can probably even get away without replacing the Freitag with an Aer, but indulge me and give me an excuse to potentially acquire another bag.
The appeal of the Aer to me is that 1) I love the ballistic nylon, 2) I appreciate its organisation features and love that everything has a place in the bag, and 3) smart enough to be appropriate for corporate, but can also get away with using it on weekends at a push.
What are people’s thoughts of having both Aer and the Goruck? I’m open to other bags that fit the bill (sub 20L in size, smart, and modern, but good organisation)
