Help with construction

Hi everyone, I'm having a problem (I think)

I'm starting a new island after losing my old one and I wanted to try doing everything I'd never done before (for example land leveling and I regretted it afterwards haha)

My concern is that I think I chose a bad island entrance: the center is too close to the airport, and I'm not sure exactly what I could plan to do here

Since my last island was completely natural, this time I want to create a Japanese City. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears! I'm in the planning phase before I start building.

Starting over ✨⭐

I recently bought a Switch 2, and I thought my Animal Crossing backup was on my Nintendo Online. Unfortunately, I didn't check properly, I formatted switch 1 to give it to my brother and lost 500 hours of gameplay.
