Hi! I’m starting a post-baccalaureate ABSN program next month and we’re jumping right into fundamentals, patho/pharm, etc. I’ve been an EMT on an ambulance doing primarily 911 coverage for a high call volume city as well as some interfacility transports. Did anybody here work as an EMT prior to pursing nursing? Did it help you at all in class/lab/clinicals (besides the obvious stuff like taking vitals, bedside manner, and general assessment)?
