I accidentally cleaned the protective layer right off my spear (what was I thinking?!). I must have used a scotchbrite or something... Has anyone had success putting any sort of protectant back on a spear? The rust comes off after my dives, and the spear shoots fine but its a bit of an eyesore. I'd hate to mess with how the spear flies.

Thoughts?
