I am thinking about upgrading my Nikon setup before my trip. Wondering if its better to wait and get one when I am in China (i am in UAE), are they cheaper and which stores should I be looking at?

Im planning a trip from mid July to mid August for roughly one month. Its cheapest for me to fly into and out of Beijing. The cities I really want to visit are:
Beijing
Shanghai
Chengdu
Chongqing
Hong Kong
Taipei
+
Zhangjiajei and/or Guilin/Yangshuo (im personally not prioritizing this but I know I should go to one!)
Im using chatgpt to help make a route but it seems not up to date with the rail network. Wondering if someone can help me plan the best route to reduce travel time. Also open to any other stops to make it easier!
