Thoughts While Playing Fallout (4 and 76)

So. I started playing the Fallout games (specifically 4 and 76) after my husband passed away; it was one of his favorite game universes.

Thoughts I have had while playing Fallout games:

  1. They can keep the Prydwen in the air and they have vertibirds (which, admittedly, do seem to have about -100000 HP) but not cars or motorcycles? (Yes, I'm aware of the one car, New Vegas, I think? One of the games my husband played a lot, along with 3)

  2. Have you noticed THE SHEER NUMBER OF BOTTLES OF ANTIFREEZE in kitchens?

Love the games so much.

The Click and D&D

I’ve had The Click videos on in the background today while cleaning and pretending to be a responsible functioning adult. I know he loves D&D, and several times today I’ve heard something along the lines of “I need to make a D&D character like this” or that something should be in a D&D campaign.

I also know he loves dad jokes. It always makes me smile because my late husband was a big gamer and was the absolute KING of dad jokes and puns.

Over the course of the day today I heard dad jokes and D&D references several times in different videos, and it reminded me of something that happened in a game he participated in.

It was long enough ago that I don’t remember the exact circumstances, but his character was in battle and the DM had him roll. I should add here that my husband was very creative and could sometimes frustrate a DM’s planned game.

So. His character was facing certain death. Hubby’s roll was perfect. So……a cow fell out of the sky and killed the enemy.

Bovine Intervention.
