would it be recommendable to get a DAC or AMP

"would it be recommendable to get a DAC or AMP?"

Hello i recently bought a fiio Ft1 to get a better understanding of if i like audiophile headphones and is their a really a difference between gaming headphones and audiophile headphones (i've mostly had gaming headphones my entire life) and since i've became more of a music addict as of late i decided i wanted to try out audiophile headphones so i bought the fiio ft1's and i love the build quality and noise isolation it gives but the audio seems a bit off like some tracks sound great and sound the exact same on my old headphones (Hyper X Cloud iii Wireless) and i think that is due to my motherboard ( asus b 460) (i have plugged my Fiio Ft1's straight to my computer) and im starting to think my motherboard isn't good enough for music (mixing on some tracks are just straight terrible) would it be recommended to get a dac or amp

(i've tried many eq's online and they are not to my taste)

(Yes I already made a post but I updated it to make it a lot more sense since I didn't really explain it well)

looking for a DAC for pc roughly 100-$200 AUD "

hello i recently bought the fiio ft1 from this subreddit's advice i enjoy the passive noise isolation and the overall design of the headphones but the sound is very hit or miss like some songs sound amazing but others sound worse/sound the exact same on my old headphones ( hyperX cloud iii wireless) i don't know if its the files (i've been using all flac ) im wondering if a DAC would change anything i've tried some EQ's online and they aren't really for my taste I'm also thinking of getting an amplifier

Also to note this is my first ever non gaming headphones that are "audiophile"

any advice?

looking for beginner audiophile headphones around 150-350 AUD

  • looking to spend roughly around 150-400 AUD preferably wireless but i can handle with wired
  • i will mostly use headphones for music, (favourate genres are EDM/Ambient but i listen to basically anything) films, gaming
  • another question i have is it worth it to get into audiophile headphones since i am worried it wont really make a differance to me
  • past gear i've used is steelseries arctic 1 wireless HyperX wireless cloud III wireless (currently using)

thank you for your time
