Do these puppies look like purebred Akitas or a mix? Need advice!
Hi everyone. I'm looking into getting one of these puppies. The person who has them claims they are purebred Akitas (looks like they mean Japanese Akita Inu), but since they are so young, I’m having a hard time telling for sure.
They have the red/fawn coat with white markings on their face, paws, and chest. You can also see their tails curling over their backs while they eat. However, in the group picture, one of the puppies has a much darker, almost sesame-like coat with some black on the muzzle.
To the trained eyes out there: do these look like purebred Akita puppies, or do you see signs of a mix (maybe mixed with a Shiba or something else)? Are there any specific physical traits I should be looking for at this age?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Edit: I want to clarify that the owner of the parents sent me the photos; the puppy isn't even 45 days old yet. It must be about 20 days old because it won't be ready to be picked up until August 28. I'm clarifying this because I see a lot of people commenting that it's very small and must be sick.
