I’m reading (for the umpteenth time) the entire series. In the extra chapter from Effa’s perspective in P2V4 I can feel the motherly love. My younger son is in the US Army deployed to an undisclosed, unsafe location. I hear from my wife the same worries, with different words, Effa has for Myne’s safety and well being.

Just one of the reasons I love this LN so much, is how often it reflects aspects and worries of my own life as a parent. Every time I read or think about the chapter “Ripped Apart” from this volume I cry because it hurts me so much as a father. Few authors, and translators (thank you @quof) can convey the emotions so effectively.
