I can’t imagine that a post timeskip Chihiro (who can already keep up with Samura) with an improved EB is having a hard time with him considering the power ceiling has already been set at the strongest in the verse currently.
I feel like Hiruhiko is pulling out all his strongest moves just to get one shot bc Chihiro was actually holding back.
I get that he’s a prodigy on Chihiro’s level but Chihiro already counters Banquet and can manage battlefield manipulation after fighting Kyora

I hate to be a glazer but the pacing of the past 9 chapters has been phenomenal. A perfect balance of action, exposition, and character introduction. Nothing felt wasted or extra. The battle on Irishima was absolute art and gave us some crazy cool and memorable fighters, and Shiba’s technique reveal was peak. Not to mention the art and choreography just keeps getting better. I’ve been on the edge of my seat every Sunday for the past 2 months.

I was really skeptical of Kagurabachi going in but after the 4-way standoff during the Hishaku invansion and now this masterclass of fight choreography and writing I feel like this story is gonna be something really special 🙏

Really feel like I’m reading peak late 2010s Shonen again 🥹
