My journey through Industrial Engineering at POLITEHNICA Bucharest

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share my academic and professional journey as a student of Industrial Engineering at POLITEHNICA Bucharest.

I completed both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering (Industrial Engineering in English)and I am now continuing my studies as a PhD student in Industrial Engineering. Looking back, I can say that this university had an important impact on my development, both personally and professionally.

During my Bachelor’s degree, I had the opportunity to take part in a 6-month Erasmus mobility program in Porto ,which helped me experience a different academic environment.

After that, I completed an internship at Renault Group, which became an important step in my career. That experience allowed me to apply what I learned during university in a real industrial environment. Today, I am a commodity project leader for the tooling department in Renault.

For me, Industrial Engineering has been a field that connects technical knowledge with real-world problem-solving. It brings together production systems, process optimization, quality, logistics, management, innovation, and continuous improvement.

What I appreciate most about POLITEHNICA Bucharest is that it offered me a strong technical foundation, international opportunities, and a clear path toward professional growth. From student life, to Erasmus, to internship, to full-time work, and now to PhD , this journey has shown me how valuable an engineering education can be.

For anyone considering Industrial Engineering, I truly believe it is a great choice, especially for those who want to work close to industry, technology, and innovation.
