World First in Clean Energy! India Makes Hydrogen Using Nuclear Reactor Heat, Not Power

World First in Clean Energy! India Makes Hydrogen Using Nuclear Reactor Heat, Not Power

From what I could understand, India is the first country in the world to demonstrate the commercial application of "Copper–Chlorine (Cu–Cl) Thermochemical Cycle" ( utilizing nuclear process heat generated from the Fast Breeder Test Reactor (FBTR) is secondary, though still an achievement).

Until now, all attempts at making green hydrogen had been using electrodes to split H²O.

India gained 2.1 million hectares of dry woodland in a decade, major study finds

Link: https://www.manchester.ac.uk/about/news/india-gained-2-million-hectares-of-dry-woodland/

From the article: Key findings

* India gained around 2.1 million hectares of tropical dry woodland between 2014 and 2024

* Government forest lands saw major gains linked to restoration and afforestation programmes

* Many woodland increases outside government lands appear likely to be linked to timber and tree-crop plantations

* Researchers also recorded continued woodland loss in some important native forest areas

* Scientists say national tree-cover figures can mask important differences between natural forests and plantations

So it's not all rosy, given that native forest loss continues.
