How could a trespass charge affect a 15 year old later in life?

For context. I am the parent wanting charges made against an adult(who happens to be a teacher at a local school ) involved in a situation (far worse for the adult)

Police told me both get charges or both don't (very much trying to stear me away from taking this further)
