Hey everyone,

I’ve been researching monitors for way too long and I’m finally down to a few options, but I want real-world feedback from actual users before I lock it in.

My use case:

- Mostly productivity (coding, CAD, general work)

- Some casual gaming (Valorant with friends, story games)

- Sessions around 4–5 hours max at a stretch

- I already have -3.5 eyesight, so eye comfort is important

- Laptop: RTX 3050 + i5-12450HX

- Budget: ~₹10–12k (can stretch a bit if justified)

---

Monitors I’m considering:

  1. BenQ GW2490T

- 100Hz IPS

- Full ergonomic stand (height, pivot, swivel)

- Strong eye-care features (Low Blue Light Plus, B.I. Gen2, ePaper, etc.)

- Current price ~₹11k (seen as low as ₹8.5k)

  1. Dell S2425HSM

- 144Hz IPS

- 300 nits, 1500:1 contrast

- Fully adjustable stand

- TÜV 4-star eye comfort

- Price ~₹11k (lowest ~₹10.2k)

  1. LG 24GS65F

- 180Hz IPS

- Great for gaming + adjustable stand

- Eye care seems more basic compared to BenQ

- Price ~₹10–11k

---

My confusion:

- Is BenQ’s eye-care actually noticeable in real usage or mostly marketing?

- Is Dell’s 4-star eye comfort + higher refresh a better balance overall?

- Does the LG feel significantly better in motion/gaming, or irrelevant for casual play?

- Any long-term issues (eye strain, panel problems, durability, dead pixels, etc.)?

---

What I care about MOST:

  1. Eye comfort (long-term)

  2. Ergonomics (no neck strain)

  3. Reliability / durability

  4. Then gaming performance

---

What I don’t care about:

- Ultra high refresh beyond practical use

- RGB / gaming aesthetics

- Marketing fluff

---

Specific questions:

- If you’ve used GW2490T, is it actually better for eyes?

- If you’ve used Dell S2425HSM, how is real-world comfort?

- Any regrets after buying any of these?

- Which one would YOU buy again?

---

Trying to make a one-time correct decision instead of overthinking forever.

Appreciate any honest feedback 🙏

Hey everyone,

I’ve been going down the mouse rabbit hole for a while now and could really use some practical advice.

My current situation:

Using a very basic Acer wired mouse

Size ~11 cm length, ~6 cm width (small/compact)

Shape: low hump, ambidextrous, narrow

Surprisingly… it feels perfect in my hand

My grip & usage:

Mostly wrist-based movement

Relaxed grip (not aggressive claw)

Hands are on the larger side, but I’m used to smaller mice

What I’ve considered so far:

HyperX Pulsefire Core (currently leaning toward this)

Razer DeathAdder Essential (but price jumped to ~₹1800–1900)

Cosmic Byte Firestorm

EvoFox Ghost Air

My main concern: I don’t want to buy something that looks better on paper but ends up feeling worse than my current mouse.

Since my current mouse is small and low-profile, I’m worried that:

Bigger ergonomic mice (like DeathAdder) might feel too bulky

Or that I’ll regret not going lighter/smaller

What I’m looking for:

Comfortable for long use

Good for wrist-based movement

Durable (I don’t want to replace it in a year)

Ideally close in feel to my current mouse, but upgraded

Questions:

Has anyone moved from a small office mouse to something like the Pulsefire Core or DeathAdder? How did it feel?

Is the HyperX Pulsefire Core a safe “no regret” choice in this situation?

Would something like Firestorm / Ghost Air actually be a better transition because of size?

Any real-world experiences would help a lot. Trying to avoid the classic “buy twice” mistake.

Thanks 🙏
