I've been after one of these for quite some time. I finally secured a nice example. All matching except for the trigger pack. The stock is also matching, but unfortunately the stock has been messed with in the past, which is evident by some traces of lacquer and sanding. What's neat is when I took apart the butt stock assembly, I found a few surprises in the rear compartment. Happy Friday
Long story short, I got this on a discussion boards which was advertised as all original ww2 m1 carbine. Pictures looked good to me so I decided to take the gamble as the price was too good to pass up. He says that his friend sold it to him a while back and it was his friend's grandfather who brought this back from service in ww2. This hasno import marks. As far as I can tell it looks OK to me, but I am not an expert. I would really appreciate if some of you she'd some knowledge on this and let me know if there are any discrepancies. Thanks in advance.
Happy 4th of July! Greatful for freedom to own these neat piece a of history.
