Gachiakuta 1st anniversary quo card!

This quo card was released by Kodansha for Weekly Shonen Magazine back in February 2023 to celebrate the first year of the manga being in print.
Quo cards are kinda like gift cards you can use at convenience stores and some other places in Japan. A lot of quo cards will have anime or idols on them and are used as collectible promotional giveaways. Second picture is what the back of a quo card looks like and third picture is my last order of cards I got in.

Gachiakuta Quo Card!

First Gachiakuta quo card! These are kinda like flimsy gift cards you can use at convenience stores and some other places in Japan. I’m pretty sure most people don’t actually use them and just treat them as collectibles because it’s mostly anime and idols on these cards. This was a promotional giveaway from weekly shonen magazine last year.
Second picture is what the back of a quo card looks like and the third pic is my order of telephone cards(another japanese collectible card but these were pre paid phone cards used for pay phones) that I got in today.

Soul Eater telephone card

Got a new order of telephone cards in today and really excited to have my first Soul Eater teleca. I missed out on one a couple months ago but besides that one the other one or two I’ve seen for sale have been really expensive. I also got got a Gachiakuta quo card that’s pretty new I thought I’d be fitting to have them together. The second picture is what the back of a telephone card looks like and the last photo are all the telephone cards I got in this order.

And for anyone wondering what a telephone card is they are/were prepaid phone cards you could use to make calls on pay phones and were popular collectibles in Japan from the late 80s until mid 2000s. There are still phone cards being made today in Japan but very little. The Gachiakuta card I got is a Quo card and those are more common now and can be used at different stores kinda like a gift card but similarly to telephone cards they are mostly collected and not actually used.

New telephone cards

I got another order in today! Really excited with everything I got. Second photo is my current Toradora teleca collection. Third photo is everything I got in today. Feels like I’m making decent progress with both my Toradora and Denpa Onna phone card collections.

Two more Toradora telephone cards added to the collection

Teleca cards(telephone cards) were popular through the late 80s into the early/mid 2000s and stored phone credits to make calls using pay phones.
