Road rage on prairie city road and e Bidwell

To the girl in the green Kia tonight, I was on the other side of the dark silver SUV road rager at the light. I saw the guy speed up and try to cut you off. I thought he was trying to intentionally hit you and I also saw when we stopped at the stoplight him try to get out the car to try and fight you. I’m sorry that happened to you. I could tell his wife was very uncomfortable. I saw you pulled out your phone and then he went back in his car. so if you see this, I hope you did record it and post it and shame him because what he did to you was unacceptable. He probably treats his poor wife the same way.

HR ? Re hiring wait times

I’ve seen a few posts here, but I’d like to hear feedback from folks in HR. Why does it take forever to hire someone? Why is there such a huge gap of time from the time someone’s interviewed and references are complete- to get a final offer issued? Management blames HR. HR blames management. I’d like to hear someone from HR explain. We have been short staffed and interviews happen but we can never get someone because by the time they get the offer, they already accepted somewhere else.

Currently an analyst I and i landed an interview at DIR. They called me a few days after the interview and I was given a tentative offer. This was 2 weeks ago - but haven’t heard back since? Should I follow up? Has anyone ever received a tentative but not an official? I have a clean personnel file and my references have been called.
