Lasonic lpc 85 gold edition

Picked this up today along with some other vintage audio equipment (I've been into LPs and vintage receivers for a bit), never heard of lasonic heck, never owned a cassette (borrowed one from a neighbor). It seems like it's in perfect condition both cosmeticly and in function. Anything I should know about it, the brand and how to keep it in the best condition possible? Not that it makes much difference to the topic but I paid a whole 10 bucks for this thing so I'm stoked it works even if it's not the greatest box.

P.S the fact that the speakers break off for "surround sound" is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. 80's teens had it made

Thanks for the info, looking forward to learning more about this awesome area of audio

Concept 4.5d, good, bad, ugly?

New to vintage audio, just got this concept 4.5d along with some other stuff (pictures in comments, paid $30 total). I can't find much information on the receiver. It's in amazing cosmetic condition and puts out clean sound on everything except phono. Audio seems scratchy and tinny. Does anyone know much about this unit or what my issue might be, could this be caused by dusty internals??

If the details matter, input is a Sony pslx-250H and the output is a pair of infiniti reference 3s that I refoamed last week after getting the set for free.

*Feel free to explain it to me like I'm 5, as stated I'm very new to this world*
