I have an ASUS laptop worth around ₹1 lakh that recently stopped turning on.
First, I visited an ASUS exclusive store, and they directed me to their service center behind/near the Dell store. They only tried turning it on and said it was most likely a motherboard issue, estimating around ₹20,000+. They also said ₹20,000–₹30,000 is normal for this laptop and even claimed the laptop costs ₹2 lakh+, which was incorrect.
Then I visited Prasad Computers, recommended by a friend. They also quickly checked it and said it was probably a motherboard issue, estimating around ₹20,000–₹30,000.
Finally, I gave it to Digital Technologies (Google Maps may show a different name). They identified the issue within about 10 minutes. They initially said 5 days, but due to a shipping issue, they now say another 2–4 days.
I’ve also heard claims about some multi-brand service centers replacing original parts or overcharging, but I don’t know if these claims are true, so I don’t want to accuse them without proof.
Has anyone here actually used Digital Technologies in Guntur for ASUS laptop service? Are they trustworthy, and do they use genuine parts?
