Freeway Hit and Run this morning - 215 Westbound at South Jones
A vehicle collision happened at 8:45 AM today, 5/20/2026. It was on 215 Westbound under the Jones overpass, heading towards the Durango Hotel/ IKEA.
A white vehicle rear ended a red SUV which lost control and hit a white Tesla. My family was in the white Tesla. The red SUV driver was transported by ambulance. My family is at the ER now. The Tesla is totaled.
The driver who rear ended the red SUV and caused the entire accident fled the scene. Based on paint left on the red SUV rear bumper, all I know is that it was a white car. NHP is investigating.
Long shot here, but, did you or anybody you know happen to witness this crash and possibly catch the license plate of the vehicle which rear-ended the red SUV? Did you capture dash cam footage?

Btw, the Tesla did not have video recording active.
