I went to the renewal of the Mofusand Harajuku shop today. The theme is now Shark Cat. Because of the bad weather, I didn’t have to wait too long (they did require that you pre-register to enter the store, however). Going in I knew I wanted the large shark. The staff was weird and not very friendly which made me feel rushed and uncomfortable, so I didn’t buy everything I wanted. I might go back, though.
Last week a Mofusand backpack was released online and it almost immediately sold out. It was expensive and definitely beyond my budget, so I thought maybe it was a good thing it sold out so fast. But yesterday I was making my weekly trip to the Mofusand store and they had a few in stock.
Seeing it in person I was able to appreciate the size and quality, and I decided to buy it. It’s the most expensive backpack I’ve ever owned, but I’ve actually been in the market for a new backpack to wear to work. You might remember that last month one of my cats suffered an emergency and was hospitalized for 5 days. My birthday was also last month, and due to the expense of his hospital stay I couldn’t celebrate my birthday. Some of you in this group graciously helped me out by purchasing Mofusand mystery kits to help recoup the financial loss from my cat’s emergency, and my sales in my Etsy store really increased since then so I’m very grateful. I was finally able to buy myself a birthday present 🎁
(The backpack has an embroidered shark mofu on the front pocket, and is lined with shark mofu print. It has really comfortable cushioned straps and extra pockets inside)
A new set of key chain plushies were released today. There were 2 dog versions as well but I didn’t like those as much so I just got these 3 (taiyaki, pancake, and matcha).
Also now that it’s June they’ve released the Cancer zodiac card (you get one for free with your purchase).
I finally made it to the Gashapon store today and got my hands on these babies. There are 5 so I’m missing one (I ran out of cash 😭).
