Advice for Peru Itinerary
Peru travel itinerary
Hi everyone, i’m visiting Peru in may for 27 days. I’ve researched a fair bit and have came up with what i think is a good itinerary but it’s my first time visiting Peru so i’d love to get some advice on it.
Admittedly most research i have done is around the Amazon lodge i’ll be staying at and whether to do the Salkantay or Inca trek so these are set in stone for me.
Everything else can be moved around a little.
I currently don’t have a day to day itinerary so i can keep it a little more open until i research for now, so i would love any suggestions for each place.
I love history, a bit of hiking (but not too much since i’ll be doing Salkantay trek), and animals!

Itinerary
Days 1 & 2 - Lima
Day 3- Paracas
Day 4- Huacachina
Day 5- Huacachina then night bus to Arequipa
Days 6 to 9- In Arequipa with possible Colca canyon 1/2 day tour
Day 10- Arequipa then Fly to cusco (undecided on early morning or late flight)
Days 11 to 14- Acclimatise then explore cusco
Days 15 to 19- Salkantay trek
Day 20- Recovery day in Cusco
Days 21 to 25- Fly to Puerto Maldonado then stay at a lodge in the amazing.
Day 25- fly back to Lima
Days 26 & 27 - Lima
