Final Year Student Switching from SSC CGL to CAT 2026 Prep am I Too Late?
I'm in my final year of college and seriously considering appearing for CAT 2026. I've been prepping for SSC CGL since my first year I studied properly back then but slacked off in the second year. Now, the thought of restarting CGL prep doesn't excite me at all, and I'm leaning towards CAT instead. I can dedicate 6-7 hours daily from now onwards. But I keep wondering: Am I already too late?
For context, I took a CAT 2025 Slot 2 paper as a mock recently. With my existing CGL background, I managed:
- VARC: 7 questions
- DILR: 0 questions
- QA: 5 questions
Is this typical for a complete beginner, or did my CGL prep give me some edge? Also, how much does SSC CGL preparation actually help for CAT significantly or just slightly?
Should I join an offline coaching institute, go for an online course, or is YouTube/self-study sufficient if I'm consistent with 6-7 hours a day?
Any realistic advice, study plans would be really helpful. Feeling a bit anxious. Thanks in advance!
