Redbud help!

We planted this 2 winters ago (this is its second summer) and it’s doubled in size but about two weeks ago, the leaves started curling inward and there’s some yellowing near the center. Some of the leaves are brownish on the undersides. They don’t feel mushy or spongy like overwatered redbuds are described so I assumed it’s drought stressed. I’ve drip deep watered for 1-2 hours 2x a week throughout the summer but it’s in full sun until about 4/5pm everyday. I deep watered 3x this week but am wondering if this is just normal end of season stress and I should just accept that, or if I should increase watering? Or if it could be a soil issue? The soil feels dry every time I’ve watered. Thanks for any advice!

Friend or foe?

We mulched a new garden bed this spring and this volunteer popped up a few weeks later. I thought it may be a sunflower but it’s getting massive with no blooms so I’m not sure! I kind of love it but my husband thinks it’s just a big weed. It looks similar to a big plant in a nearby neighbor’s front yard that has some long white flowers that I’m pretty sure they didn’t plant (it’s in a river rock bed). I’m getting a lot of inconsistent guesses on plant ID apps so thought I’d see if anyone here knows what this is and if we should keep it or rip it out?

Little miss figgy help!

We planted this from Whole Foods about a week ago and I watered it for the first 3 days. It initially had a few yellow leaves a few days after but the soil was still moist so I’ve left it alone, assuming transplant shock. Now there’s more yellow leaves and they’re wilting too — likely still shock or needing more water? I don’t want to overwater but also don’t want to neglect it!
