HDFC ERGO Optima Secure – RCT + Apicoectomy Claim?

I have HDFC ERGO my:Optima Secure (₹10L SI), and my policy mentions Dental Treatment covered.

I have a tooth infection, and my oral surgeon has advised RCT + Apicoectomy (root-end surgery). This is medically necessary to remove the infection and save the tooth, not a cosmetic procedure.

Has anyone successfully claimed this under HDFC ERGO or any other Indian health insurance? Was it covered only with hospitalization, or was it approved as a day-care procedure?

Any experiences or advice would be appreciated. Thanks

India’s ₹75 Lakh Consultant Tax Cliff

At ₹75 lakh income, tax can be around ₹7.33 lakh. But at ₹78 lakh income, tax can jump to around ₹21.96 lakh if expenses are low.

That means earning just ₹3 lakh extra can increase tax by around ₹14.6 lakh.

What is the best legal way to solve this?

A better approach would be to make it gradual.

For ₹78 lakh income, allow the 50% benefit up to ₹75 lakh, meaning ₹37.5 lakh deduction.

Taxable income becomes ₹40.5 lakh, and tax is around ₹8.27 lakh instead of ₹21.96 lakh.

Why not tax only the extra amount normally?
