Go-to Foods
Hi! I’ve been running for about six years but recently got interested in longer distances. I’ve also noticed my appetite has kinda reduced in the past year and I think it’s starting to affect my performance and I think I’ve lost a little weight. So I’m looking for some bulky, palatable ideas to help me fuel better.
Also, what are y’all doing if you’re working a lot of hours in a busy environment? I realized yesterday that during my 11 hour shift I only consumed caffeine and nicotine lol but no surprise I felt like passing out towards the end. Crazy too because I work in a grocery store but the convenient salads and sandwiches are also kinda expensive. And yes I’ve tried bringing my own lunches but it always ends up being forgotten about for days until someone asks who the hell left a lunchbox in the fridge for so long.
So I guess my problem is that I don’t know what to eat when I’m not at home AND when I am at home, I go for easy stuff but it’s not doing the job. I know how to cook, and I like cooking it’s just hard to commit to the same meal for days (r.i.p the peanut butter sesame noodles and tofu I made last week and never finished).
I want to hear what YOU eat when you just can’t put the time you want into planning your food and really only have time to cook one meal a day (because I’m always shocked to see people say they are able to make and eat three meals of their own food like how do you have the time)
