Just made an ambient track from scratch starting with a simple morning pattern (Full workflow video / Feedback welcome!)

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share my latest studio session where I challenged myself to build a chill, ambient track from A to Z on video, starting with just a tiny pattern I found in the morning.

I’m showing my entire workflow with no filters, from sound design to the final arrangement:

  • Texture & Pad work: Selecting and tweaking presets (mostly using Drift and Analog Lab).
  • EQing and cleaning: Taming those muddy low-ends that were ruining the initial vibe.
  • Structuring: Adding drums, tracking some guitars, and arranging the whole thing into a cohesive 4-minute track.

It’s a pretty laid-back video, perfect if you enjoy seeing how other producers structure their sessions, or if you just want something relaxing to watch/listen to in the background.

If you want to check out the studio session or have any feedback on the arrangement, here is the link:https://youtu.be/Ouzn2aMZJRg?si=pwZUqbYRuSvJGtaf

The next step will be mixing the project in the studio, which I'll probably do in a future video.

For those who produce ambient or chill music, what are your go-to plugins or hardware for deep, lush pads? I’d love to know what you guys are using!

Thanks for checking it out, and happy producing! 👋

Mixing a Chillhop track from scratch: Saxophone, Guitars, and Glue ☕🎷

I just finished a full mixing session for my latest track, "Fresh Morning." Since I’m a saxophonist first and a producer second, I wanted to show the workflow of blending live instruments with electronic drums in a Chillhop context.
