I built a free live map for Infinite Flight — Waypoint

Hey everyone! I've been working on a passion project for a while and figured it's ready to share: Waypoint — a live map that shows everything happening on the IF servers right now. It's free, no login, works in the browser (and on your phone).

👉 waypoint-live.app

A few things I'm proud of:

✈️ Aircraft that actually move
Instead of planes jumping every refresh, they glide in real time between updates based on their track and speed. Pick a flight and hit Follow to ride along, or open a few in small windows side by side.

🔍 Filters for basically everything
This is the part I had the most fun with. You can filter live traffic by airport, route, airline/VA, aircraft type, callsign, pilot — and in the advanced filter also by altitude, speed, vertical speed, flight phase (climb/cruise/descent/ground) and aircraft class. Great for finding that one long-haul or seeing who's inbound to your airport.

🛬 Airports in detail
Zoom into any airport and you get the actual ground layout — taxiways with their names, runways with idents, terminals, and gates that show green (free) or red (occupied) so you can see where to spawn before an event. Airport panels have live arrival/departure boards, an on-ground list with parked/pushback/taxiing status, ATIS/METAR, active ATC frequencies and more.

Plus the usual: active ATC + Center coverage areas, featured airports, NOTAMs, oceanic tracks, a dark mode, and a globe view if you want to take in the whole world at once.

It's unofficial and not affiliated with Infinite Flight — just a fan project. It runs entirely on the public Live API and respects the rate limits (no data is stored).

Would love your feedback — what's missing, what would make it more useful for you? 🙏
