all this is possible without modding btw
yes i got carpel tunnel after this
yes this is with items obtainable legitimately
yes i got carpel tunnel after this
yes this is with items obtainable legitimately
yes this works in a real game
works with other weapons as well, and even faster speed than this
YES I KNOW IT LOOKS CURSED AND COMEPLETELY WRONG BUT LET ME EXPLAIN BEFORE YOU COMMENT
this is a best use case tierlist, meaning it does NOT care about versatility or non combat factors AT ALL. This tierlist ranks PURELY on its single best use case (excluding wheelchair builds where it does nothing), basically how it performs in its perfect build.
ALL combat glitches are considered, such as autoclick fishing rod and gluestrike
While doing testing, i went and tested basically every single weapon at its maximum, thus here you are seeing axes somehow in A tier and swords in S tier, they have perfect animation cancels, with autoclick rod, its dps is insane
affected weapons: daggers, gauntlets, sickles, axes, maces, swords and battlestaffs. These weapons have all significantly gone up in rankings for this specific criteria
rod cancelling is assumed to be at 60 cps
feel free to ask any questions you have about this list, because you will have to throw out everything you understand about the current meta for this tierlist
consulted from some of the best players in the game, plus my own hours of testing for this
RANKINGS ARE NOT ORDERED WITHIN TIERS! THIS TIERLIST WILL ALSO NOT APPLY TO GENERAL USE. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS TIERLIST AS A REFERENCE FOR YOUR BUILDS.
it deals the integer limit at max power lol, and its also repeatable so you can literally do this nonstop too
requires: overcharge, dynamo and bonus shot on a bow, torment quiver
u must not hit the main arrow, only works if the bonus shot arrow hits the enemy
power 100 torment quiver and power 100 armour, totaled up to 533.5x mob hp and damage
mathematically speaking that would be 306,336 times more difficult than base apoc +25
all gear is obtainable in a real game, build is in video
INTRODUCING THE NEW BEST SHOCKSWIRL SETUP: AUTOCLICK ROD CANCEL PICKAXE
pickaxes have a low foreswing while having a 1 hit combo, which is perfect for this
originally, normal autoclick rod at 10 cps was impossible as pickaxe was just a little too slow to use it, but by using a mushroom and spamming at the bare minimum of 10 cps, it is now possible to autoclick pickaxes
the math: bindings attack at 15 times per second with a 4 hit combo, thats 3.75 shockswirls per second. this setup attacks 10 times per second, with a 1 hit combo, which is 10 shockswirls per second- thats almost 3 times faster than bindings!
requirements:
of course, this can work in non shockswirl setups, like playing for pure physical damage, which is usually stronger as well, smth like potion spam with this is insanely op.
I only used shockswirl because it was flashy and looks epic af
this setup also works with cursed axe, nameless blade, mace, scythe and all fast weapons, though since they dont have a 1 hit combo, they use melee builds to make use of the ungodly attack speeds
https://youtu.be/wtSpoiE84g4 mystery armour stats is invulnerability roll and -40% artifact cooldown
here are the stats of mobs: 5.786x mob damage, 3.682x mob hp on top of roughly 12x average mob stats of nightmare, for a total of 69.432x mob damage and 44.184x mob hp
game gets really laggy at the end lol my laptop isnt that good
I'm sure that most people have seen shin's calculations on committed's average dps boost, he says its only 36.8% dps boost on average, which isnt correct at all.
he merely brute forced his numbers, which made his results deviate from the actual correct number, so im here to clear misunderstandings on committed
committed deals proportionally more damage the lower the mob hp, 1% dps boost per 1% of hp lost, to be precise, so a mob with 70% hp will result in your weapon doing 30% more damage
here is the ACTUAL formula to calculate committed dps gain: 1/Ln2 or 1/Log e2
this results in a 44.2% dps boost as the number of hits to kill reaches infinity, aka the true dps gain committed gives at its limit. like crit, this suffers from overkill so its ~5% lower
but thats not all. committed is like an exponential graph, that means if you can somehow cut out the slow growth, the dps boost it provides will skyrocket, so i set out to calculate the dps boost of committed at a lower starting hp, and turns out, i was right
here is the desmos graph, you can plug in the mob starting hp and get the average dps boost of committed if the mob started at that hp Desmos graphing calc (committed)
example of the dps boost committed will give at 50% start hp in image 3, at a whopping 73.8% dps boost
why does this matter? because most the time, your melee isnt the only thing doing damage, various indirect sources, like your bow, pets or even splash damage can pre-damage mobs, letting you gain higher single target dps
well, I'm sure most of us know how void works. you apply void, and the longer u wait the stronger your next attack is.
that should mean that bindings is the worse weapon to sue von strike on... right?
that's *technically* right, but when we get deeper into the math we will see something shocking
in the following calculations we will assume a classic shockswirl radiance on the bindings
well at first glance, void strike is only a 25% boost to base bindings, I'm sure everyone knows that (if u didn't, check image number 3 by shin)
the problem is, everyone treats void at base, but don't consider the TRUE strength of what void is originally designed for.
Void is a *FULL* multiplier, it not only buffs the main damage, but other damage sources as well. damage formula here:
and guess what is indirect damage! thats right its shockswirl!
unlike dps boosters like crit, committed and unchanting, void strike CAN buff those too!
so here i will do some calculations, assuming we already have shockswirl on the bindings and want to add a third dps enchant
start damage: 80% from swirling and 60% from shockwave for a total of 140%, thus the current weapon does 240% of its base
although void is unfortunately not as good as committed, it only lost by 11% of the base (3% lower dps than committed only), and putting void strike's dps boost in this case study at a whopping 60%, 20% higher than crit, at a measly 40%
though not the best, i have successfully proven void strike is in fact, a GREAT option to use on the bindings
*small note, this also means its good on many other fast weapons too, not just bindings, this is just an example on how strong a FULL multiplier really is in a realistic scenario
video is mainly there to showcase the damage, not the actual dps limit. My calculations for the true limit will be below:
damage formula: Full [(100% + Additive)( Base * Multiplicative + dynamo) + indirect]
assumptions/setup:
full multipliers= 5.88x (8x at limit)
additive damage= 40+90+100+80+400+20+30+100=8.6x
rod cancel speed assumed to be 60 hits per second
DPS= 60 * 5.88 [(8.6)( 504,151 * 1.6 + 1,3203,960)]
[263 version]
committed(60%):
42,509,286,102.6 avg dps
57,835,763,404.8 peak dps
crit(every crit lands) :
44,650,774,355 avg dps
60,749,352,864 max dps
[316 version]
committed(60%):
354,947,310,144 avg dps
482,921,510,400 peak dps
crit(every crit lands) :
372,828,478,580 avg dps
507,249,630,720 peak dps (yes half a TRILLION DPS)
it was so high cortisol ahh help https://youtu.be/yU85h8aykhE

Critical hit seems to be a staple, its a reliable enchant that gives the damage boost we need. but here, I am dissecting how good it REALLY is and why its worse than all its counterparts
we may all know crit is on average a 40% dps boost, at least that's what shin said. that is true on paper, but in reality, in practice, its much lower
in shin's calcs, he simply averaged out the damage boost, but did not account for overkill hits. in reality, crit is closer to a 26%-35% dps boost, which, well is already performing worse than VOID STRIKE ON FIGHTERS BINDINGS (void is a full multiplier and thus buffs shockswirl)
lets compare it to crit's counterparts: what would be pain cycle and committed
pain cycle: is a 66.6667% dps boost on average, close to 50% dps boost accounting for overkill, but can easily be mitigated to around 60% dps boost by aiming the boosted attack on a full hp mob to have less overkill, either way is higher than crit
committed: is a 44.2% dps boost at base, when accounting overkill is ~38% dps boost, already higher than crit. but hold up, who said we had to start the mob at full hp? if the mob started out already damaged (through indirect sources like bow), committed's dps boost increases (when mob starts at 50% hp the dps boost is more than 60% now). refer to this desmos spreadsheet on the dps boost per start hp: https://www.desmos.com/calculator/ywrc0xmv75
i think that's proof enough why crit is so overrated
the biggest issue though, is how crit isn't a "noob trap" unlike shockswirl. players playing for a while can easily realise that slow combo weapons could not activate shockswirl fast enough to be effective, but will still fall for the crit trap thinking it is great
I've been sharing tons of my best builds in the community every once in a while, and some people wanted to know how to make their own, so here we go
this was originally made about 2 months ago for the dungeon fish's discord but i decided to share it here on reddit to help more ppl
contents include:
feel free to comment in the document if you find mistakes (it would definitely be very impressive if you find conceptual mistakes, at most it should be a typo or two)
Build showcase video here
sorry for bad quality picture it requires extra gear to be able to work
this is probably THE best build in the game, its the only build that surpasses 2 billion dps, and its somehow hitless
this works by working around the dynamo torment bug that was patched, somehow fake arrows such as bonus shot could still perform it sooo here we are
nocturnal bow is used when we are running low on souls since the build by itself is not able to be self sufficient (not enough soul generation)
mystery armour has invul roll and -40% potion cooldown
Instructions on how to play
this build was originally supposed to be featured on The Dungeon Fish's "maxed out builds" series after he asked a group of experts to make some meta builds for him to try and showcase.
unfortunately though, he did not have the right anchor to try this build out T_T so only the sawblade and spear build was showcased (if u watched the vid you will know)
using an autoclicker to spam fishing rod, you can get some insane animation cancelling speeds, making the mace attack 60+ times per second, doing crazy dps
now pair that with gluestrike, gong, and infinite strength potions...
the higher your fps, the faster you can attack, do this might just be the only type of build thats ACTUALLY pay to win LMAO
build requires autoclicker on fishing rod at minimum 30 times/second, more speed=more damage tho
as you can see, i have decided to drop starless down to S tier from SSS
before you flame me, i have very good reasons for my decision on why starless is considered only a high meta pick, and after discussion with some of the best players in the game, its no longer the best of the best
it all started when i was playtesting builds (as usual on extreme difficulty aka nightmare mod) and i decided to try out starless since its been a while since it played it. I cooked up a general gluestrike melee build and a rolling build for starless (yes all perfect enchants how else would i know its washed even at max potential?)
and while running levels, i realised how little dmg starless was outputting. it took a literal whole minute for starless to clear a small wave of mobs(both builds had really little dps for a highest base dmg weapon bruh), meanwhile rolling pickaxe, rolling axe etc and other builds would clear in less than half the time that starless was needing. literally every SS tier item was doing better than starless.
no, this post is not ragebait, nor is it my personal anecdote. starless night just has a poor synergy with rolling in general, its dps is nowhere close to what top meta rolling builds can achieve (low dps in turns also results in low survivabilty, connect the dots yourself)
therefore starless is now, sadly, only a high meta pick
if ur interested to learn about the other rankings u can check out my previous post on the objective tierlist on everything
small thing to note, vine whip has been promoted from SS to SSS as its jungle poison is the core for many artifact spam rolling builds
yall might have seen my post some time ago and now im gonna show footage too cos i can
self promoting my own build is wild lmao
made this build to handle t3 6 banner trials on +25 with only power 200
