Blind buying might genuinely be the most addictive dopamine hit in the world

I know blind buying is irresponsible. I know I should sample first. I know all of this. But holy shit, I don’t think anything in this hobby compares to ordering a fragrance you’ve never smelled, obsessively checking the tracking for a few days, finally getting the package, and taking that first spray. It’s gotten to the point where I’m starting to think I’m not even addicted to fragrances, I’m addicted to the fucking anticipation of finding out what I bought lol. Please tell me I’m not alone. Is anyone else genuinely addicted to blind buying?

Im waiting for my full bottles of PDM Pegasus and Valentino Uomo Coral Fantasy as we speak lol.

Thinking about selling my entire collection for one signature scent. Any advice?

I’ve gotten to the point where I have around 40–45 bottles. It’s a mix of mostly designer with a few niche fragrances. Nothing crazy rare, but I think it’s a pretty solid collection overall.
Lately, though, I’ve realized I don’t really enjoy having a huge rotation as much as I thought I would. I recently bought a floraiku discovery set, and if one of those really clicks with me (or another niche I’ve been eyeing), I kind of want to go all in and make it my signature scent.
The idea is to sell most, if not all, of my current collection and roll that money into one or two bottles of a fragrance I truly love instead of having 40 bottles that each get worn a handful of times a year.
For those of you who’ve sold off larger collections:
Where did you have the best luck selling? (Reddit, Facebook groups, eBay, Mercari, etc.)
Is it better to sell bottles individually or bundle them?
Any tips for pricing, shipping, or avoiding scammers?
Anything you wish you knew before selling a collection?
I’m not really in a rush—I just want to do it the smart way and maximize what I get back.
I’d appreciate any advice or lessons learned. Thanks!
