Do I have a chance of getting accepted: premed student
Im class of 2027 and will be applying this upcoming cycle most likely as a public health or microbiology major. I’m not sure if I have the stats to get in.
VA resident
1460 SAT(taking again in August)
3.83 unweighted
4.23 weighted
8 APs (including the ones I will be taking senior yr)
Including ap chem and ap bio
All other classes are honors classes or DE
EC:
120 hours volunteering at a hospital
Government sponsored summer program at Walter reed institute of research
30 hours shadowing general physician
2 years cross country
Rocketry club
Science national honor society
I will be a registered EMT by the end of my senior year(won’t be completed before applications are due so not sure if this would help)
Part time job at a pizzeria 12 hours a week
60 hours volunteering at community kitchen for the homeless
Also if you have any suggestions let me know please:)
I know my ECs aren’t great as I don’t have any leadership or awards
