Are the built-in balancers in pre-built batteries like the Eco-worthy 12v 280AH ones decently functional?

I'm gradually turning an old 12v lead-acid based system that was once a burning man project into something more modern. I have a Victron 150/45 MPPT controller, so I could in theory replace the old Pb batteries with these.

I'm mostly wondering:

1. will I need to keep them right at full charge for days at a time for the internal balancer to keep them balanced, vs a DIY build with a more active balancing system?

2. Could I just parallel two of these batteries (using suitable cabling, etc) without problems?
