We need active moderation
It's exciting to see this subreddit getting busy. I appreciate all of you who are revitalising old CYOA and bringing them to our attention. However, lately I have been disheartened to notice that a lot of very low-effort reposts are getting more traction and attention than well-crafted, new OC by creators. We all have our tastes so this isn't a criticism of what types of CYOA are popular on the page. It's about giving space to and spotlighting our contemporary CYOA creators who are the backbone of our community.
How do we address this without kicking down those who have been driving awesome engagement to the subreddit? I'm interested in seeing what our community thinks. Some potential ideas to help kick off some conversation:
- A dedicated day for OC.
- A moderation panel composed of creators and consumers.
- Post limits
P.S. There's no expectation for others to carry this, i.e. current moderators. This is a dialogue, not a demand. I'm sure there's plenty of us willing to put in work to support the growth here.
