I recently started watching this drama and I’m currently on ep 8, but I’m still unsure about Shen Xihe and Gu Qingzhi. From what I understood, Gu Qingzhi ends up in Shen Xihe’s body, but I’m confused about what happened to Shen Xihe’s soul. Did the two souls merge, or is it only Gu Qingzhi’s soul inhabiting and controlling Shen Xihe’s body? If I missed an explanation in the drama, I’d really appreciate someone pointing it out.
