Antis are already blaming Zutarians for NATLA inequities

So get this, since Zutara is more prominent in NATLA Book 2, the anti are now pointing fingers at Zutarians for any story changes and inequities NATLA has.

I don't think a canon Zutara in NATLA will make it a better show.

NATLA is still badly written. I don't think canon Zutara would save it.

Painted Spirit

Do you think there would have been a possibility of the Painted Lady and Blue Spirit to work together in Book 3? Do you think there were plans in the writer's room? The only time would probably in the Runaway. Blue Spirit saves Painted Lady from Combustion Man?

Rules for you not for me.

I noticed many atheists take the stance that a Religion's rules are only for believers so you can't push it on them.

It doesn't seem like they comprehend that if a Religion is true, the rules apply to EVERYONE.

When Jesus returns to establish His Kingdom, do they really think they are exempt from judgement just because they are not adherents?

It's the equivalent of saying, I won't follow a country's laws because I'm not a citizen.

More Zutara from other Avatar related media outside the show and comics

There must be someone allowing all this Zutara material sneak in several media by license holders. This is not the first time I've seen Zutara crumbs in things not directly made by Bryke. Why would they put Zuko and Katara next to each other rather than Aang and Katara?

Historical myths about Church "atrocities"

Secular historians have long debunked many myths about the Catholic Church role burning witches and torturing scientists, or how the Inquisition functioned. However these myths are still prevalent that people won't believe you when you explain the myth's origins.

Why aren't Historians not more vocal in debunking these myths?

How to explain dislike for Bryke to non-shippers?

How would you explain to non-shipper viewers why we dislike Bryke? Because if you aren't a shipper you are most likely not affected by them. A person who is not particularly attached to any pairings in the show might not really have negative opinions of them. How could we get their sympathy.

Ancient Man wearing shoes

I was just wondering, ancient stone age men wore shoes for completely practical reasons, do you think they are wrong to do so?

They think we hate Aang. We just want him to be better.

Title says it all. Antis think we hate Aang and want him gone when in fact our critiques of Aang are so he can be the best version of himself. We want what's best for him.

Christianity being spread through colonization doesn't make it false

There seems to be a prevailing thought among countries who were once colonized by Christian nations should do away with Christianity because of how it was brought to them. Isn't this illogical. The truth doesn't change whether just because it arrived in dubious ways.

Make disciples of all nations....

I actually saw liberal Christian say that "making disciples of all nations" doesn't mean conversion. Apparently the great commission isn't about making converting other to Christianity. We can make others disciples of Christ without them needing to convert or change their religion.

Isn't that ridiculous?

Aang's attachment is what leads to Zuko's betrayal in Ba Sing Se

When Aang and Iroh free Zuko and Katara, Aang gives Zuko the stink eye for being near his girl. Remember Aang wanting to be friends with Zuko? He throws thatvall away when he sees him with Katara. If Aang remained with the Guru, it would have been tough instead of Aang who will dig them up. They wouldn't need to split up and Zuko and Katara would have been able to bond longer. Azula's temptation won't be as enticing. The Gaang would be there to help Zuko refuse Azula. An Aang who has let go of attachment would see Katara and Zuko's budding relationship and would probably be sad but will allow it to happen for the best of everyone. He would still try to respectfully woo Katara but Zuko will most likely win out in the end.

Male Zutarians!

I'm disturbed the stereotype that Kataang is a male fantasy and Zutara is a female fantasy. I like Zutara and I am a man. I liked them all the way back when the show was airing. It just made sense to me thematically in the narrative. I saw Aang as someone who had to grow but unfortunately he didn't grow as much as I hope. I remained attached to Katara, That's not love, Love is willing the good of the other without expecting anything in return. It doesn't mean affirming everything they do. It also doesn't mean being nice.

I felt many things in the finale just fell in Aang's lap with little resistance.

So if you are Make Zutara shipper let your self known!

Iroh affirming Aang's decision to reject the Guru

How do you feel about Iroh affirming Aang's decision to reject the Guru and the Avatar State Mastery in the Crossroads of Destiny. Iroh seemed to commend Aang rejecting power over love.

Zutara is so good it feels real

Zutara is so well written It feels so real that I forget Kataang is canon. Kataang literally lasts just a few seconds in the finale and it feels like a fever dream. Zutara just runs on autopilot in my head after the finale that I assume they grow closer to each past the war.

Zutara is canon when I just muse on the show privately.

I've noticed a new breed of ATLA fan coming out online. They are the one's who bash Iroh for not being as nice to Azula as he is with Zuko. Bash him because he was a former colonizer and do not show any shred of sympathy for him because of this. They even called him genocidal for joking about burning Ba Sing Se. They care little for his sob story with his son. There is no redemption, forgiveness or nuance, It is like they are ignoring the show's theme's altogether.

Their new target is Pakku. Despite his sexist patriarchal arc came full circle. He is now in their crosshairs for being one in the first place.

What has happened to our fandom?
