Others may have said this already, but Makgeolli for the most part is not shelf stable, and still has raw yeast in it. It needs to be kept cold otherwise it will continue to ferment. It is unlikely to survive a plane ride home. Filtered makgeolli with the yeast taken out should be fine(tm) but don't quote me on that.
