Passed D488

Passed D488

I forgot to study risk lol.

I used birch book I read chapters 1,5,11,12,13,15
This YouTube channel was helpful
https://youtu.be/1BXtaR0A82Y?si=IwXfyY8V66MJZh4i

I used ChatGPT for questions and study guides to break down areas I felt weak in.
I am sure passing Pentest, and my CCNA in Cyber Ops was helpful.

Some of those questions were really fuckin stupid. If anyone wants my notes, I will send them to you.

but yeah i forgot to go over risk lol.
If you have access to an AI, ask it for scenario-based questions.
I did a bit of Udemy with Dion, but I couldn't get through it because of the cryptography stuff.

D488 Cryptography extra help? So i am reading birch book and i feel its bare minimum, does anyone have any extra tips? I passed the mock test but i did guess a lot on those parts.

So I have used ChatGPT to help with it, but I sometimes feel it gives a bit too much info, trying some YouTube, with ECB, CBC, CFB, OFB, and GCM.

I understand asymmetric encryption and symmetric encryption

I have used my old get certified get ahead sec+ to help me a bit, but it did not have stuff for Poly1305

I was hoping the brief book wouldn't just be 1-2 paragraphs on it.

Today, I am going to use ChatGPT and just go over the mock exam to see if that helps me.

I am sure it doesn't help that I am burnt out a bit, just gotta push a bit further.

I feel I am ready for the exam, but I just did not like that I was guessing on more than 8 questions.

I went to Quizlet and just saw a lot of fake stuff.

Finally got the missing parts for my next build. Micro center is about a 5.5 hr drive for me

First time buying lexar ram, almost went with corsair. I hope this doesn't come back to bite me.

Already have my 5080 I purchased back in May for 300 bucks off with a surprise drop on Amazon.

This will be my first build with an AIO Wonder Vision 360,

Can't wait to start this build soon.

Just wish mico center Austin would be open by now. That would have been a 3.5 hour drive for me and I would have done it vs a 5 hour one.

I would have saved about 250 if I could have gone to mico center but I feel that would have been tossed to gas money,

Finally done with D84, i really hated that course. just got my paper done.

I felt I could have taken this exam in May, but I was more focused on a CCNA exam I had to do for work.

I am not sure if I hated this class more than D487. That class had a terrible book.

Now to see if I can finish 3 courses in 10 weeks.

I hope I can finish D488 in 2 weeks. I am starting that old Birch Cissp book. Someone said to focus on these chapters 1,5,11, 13, and 15. Chapter 1 was a walk in the park, 5 seems easy.

Does anyone have any tips on this course D488? I can't pay for pocket prep again, out of my budget. I really did love that as a source.

Passed PenTest,

My study resources were Pocket Prep, ChatGPT, Claude, and the Sybex book. For me, Claude was better at scripting questions, and chat is good at breaking stuff down easier. i use the free version of Claude, ChatGPT. I have a paid version and

So pocket prep was super helpful for me, it has its own AI agent, which is decent, but I feel better with Chat and Claude. I would ask the AI agents to break down a question and give me a key giveaway from the script. Just getting to know security tools is helpful, like which ones are for mapping a network, which ones can help find end devices,

if you can use the mock exam from Udemy and any of the AI, if you have access to that resource

Also, my associate's degree in cyber was super helpful. I am glad I still recall some of my Linux crap that came in clutch for the test. I am not the greatest with scripts or programming, but I can read them and get a general idea of what they're about. I feel my associate's degree has been a lot more helpful with this master's program since it was a lot of hands-on.

i also used TryHackMe to get more hands-on. With nmap, but I feel you could get away with nmap from reading a book or using AI. I am going to get back to trying to hack me to get more hands-on with the SOC field and the AI security paths. r most of the exam I was able to eliminate 2 choices from the start. I do wish my scripting and programming were better. The labs from cert master are helpful, but they are annoying since they crash a lot. Try to hack me has an ai agents that you can ask for help.

I wish they would make this class an in-house exam, not a cert. I was really freaking out with this exam. I can see why some people would have a hard time with this class if they have no IT experience or are just starting the master's program with little knowledge. i should have taken this exam last month.

So right now I am studying for two exams. I am mainly focused on Cisco Cyber Ops because I have a free voucher for it, which needs to be completed by the end of the month.

I wish the pentest course were an in-house exam. I feel that not everyone wants to be a pentester, so shouldn't Security X be a certification exam rather than an in-house exam? I feel that would be more helpful to more students. I also need to start studying more for D488.

I feel that I am behind in the program. I just need four more courses, and I feel that I have put too much time into pentest.

Also, pocket prep is good, I am just so tired of pentest stuff lol.

I have been using it more, since right now I am laser-focused on getting through those dam labs that always crash for pen test.

What I tend to do with tough questions is narrow it down to two options, and I will bounce ideas off ChatGPT, since I would rather not guess. It has been helpful. With my current job, sometimes I have to wait in a room for something to break. If anything does break, so I will use it while at the events or meetings.

I wish they had an official app, but I just pinned it to my homescreen.

It's frustrating when the labs start to crap out, where the keyboard just starts to stop working out of nowhere, and the worst part is when it occurs near the end of a lab.

I have been using Kingsmen.

They are in Florida. I enjoy their Holy Grail; it is like church incense, but now I am using their King's Court, which is more settled and has vanilla notes with sandalwood. I use their butter, beard oil, and Conditioner. I have been loyal to them for a couple of years.

I do miss that they used to send out micro samples every so often. They have a reward system, but the webpage tends to be a bit glitzy. When I forget about the beard product I have, I tend to gift it to friends, and they all love the Holy Grail a lot.

I am looking for a new one to try out.

Don't get me wrong, Kingsmen is great, my beard always feels soft and never dry, and it can stand up to South Texas heat.

I am not the biggest fan of the Amish brand. I used to use them a lot, and I guess I got tired of that brand.

I am looking for something with a tobacco, leather, or amber scent, but I am willing to try anything that people recommend.

I was tempted by Fable Beard Company, but I feel their large selection might not have quality control. Has anyone tried them?

I am also looking at Kuhn I like that they have the sample set at a reasonable price.

If anyone has tried these two companies, could you give your views on them?

Reposted, I need to learn how to read the rules.
