I know it comes at no surprise for this reddit. It's my first time rearing this year and I can't get over how adorable and goofy they are. 🥹 Chonky sausage with little boots and TV antennae and button nose.

When both are in same conditions but growing...differently lol

My black maranta is so chill and growing crazy right now with flowers and leaves, meanwhile my red maranta is barely maintaining a new leaf 🙄🙄 (third baby leaf now lol...it's been on a one-in one-out pattern) the new growth on the right might be promising...maybe

First hoya bloom (from a small sunrise) 🥹

I caught it in real time as it was just blooming. The outer petals aren't even folded back. 5-10 minutes later, the ones closed in the pic also opened up. It smells so good!!

I'm surprised because she is such a small plant with not even a huge amount of roots but here she is... Alas, the leaves and bloom are total opposite faces so can't get a good pic with both 😂

peduncle even tho not the finest root system (mixed signals)

So following up on my sun stress post https://www.reddit.com/r/hoyas/s/0AUz9aJS8g my sunrise is actually growing it's first peduncle!

But I'm also confused because I actually thought its roots were not doing well. You can see some of the rotted roots (flat and splitted) and I see some orange specs so I thought maybe the bottom of substrate was staying too moist. The root system isn't even that big.

I haven't had any new foliage for months and thought maybe it was a substrate issue and was gonna take it out to inspect...but seeing the peduncle, maybe it's fine / shouldn't disturb it?

Too sun stressed?

They're Sunrise and aff. burtoniae variegated lol I nearly don't have any green surface left. Would that be a problem?
